Policies
General Family Policies
Classes begin at 1:30. Please be 10 minutes early to check in so that we can begin promptly at 1:30.
We expect everyone to demonstrate an attitude of respectful communication and a spirit of cooperation.
Parents are responsible to care for their own preschool and nursery-aged children. 4. Parents with children under 12 must remain on site at all times.
Students ages 12+ may be dropped off, as long as parents have left a reliable cell phone number and return to the building before their class ends.
Building cleanliness and arrangement of property are to be maintained, and rooms left as they were found.
No food or drink except water is allowed in the sanctuary at any time. 8. Photos may be taken for private use, or shared ONLY among our members.
Behavior
Be respectful to everyone. Language should be God-honoring, free from cursing and disrespect.
Dress modestly and avoid wearing clothing that may display offensive words or images.
Be considerate of church staff working in the offices; refrain from shouting or running in the halls. The designated area to wait in during class time is the cafe. Parents of small children are welcomed to use the nursery but must clean up after themselves.
All electronic equipment including cell phones and digital watches must be turned off and put away during class time.
Academic Responsibilities
Come prepared for classes and remember to bring all materials, instruments, etc.
Students are expected to remain in their designated classrooms.
Discipline Procedures
Disruptive behavior in class causes class time to be less effective. An offense will first be addressed with student privately. If continued, the parent will be asked to speak with student and stay in class with him. If situation cannot be resolved, the student may be asked to leave.
Illness Policy
Anyone with the following symptoms should be symptom-free for 24 hours prior to returning to co-op. If your child is on antibiotics it should be 24 hours since the first dose.
Fever (within the last twenty-four hours)
Colored mucus (yellow or green snotty nose)
Diarrhea, vomiting or nausea
Eye drainage
Virus or infection (known to be contagious)
Rashes of unknown origin (including bleeding diaper rashes)
Head lice
Communication
Check email and signal for all important information regarding Agape Music and Arts. Teachers may periodically send notifications, homework assignments, concert information, cancellations, etc.
We will use Facebook as a secondary communication tool.
Inclement Weather Policy
If Arlington School District cancels, there will be no classes that day. If there is a 2-hour delay, we will send out an email by 10AM to notify families whether classes will still meet as planned.Â
